July is one of the most exciting times to visit Kyoto, as the city celebrates the Gion Matsuri, one of Japan's most iconic and historic festivals. With over 1,000 years of history, the festival fills the city with magnificent floats, traditional performances, and a lively summer atmosphere.

To celebrate the season, we are displaying miniature Gion Matsuri floats in both our lobby and guest lounge. Inspired by the festival's magnificent yamaboko floats, these handcrafted displays bring a touch of Kyoto's rich cultural heritage into the hotel, allowing guests to experience the spirit of the festival from the moment they arrive.
